Empowering Digital Resilience: Alias Robotics Takes on the ResilMesh Project

In the picturesque town of Athlone, Ireland, Alias Robotics has embarked on a transformative journey as a key participant in the ResilMesh project. This EU-funded initiative, led by the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), is set to redefine cyber resilience for dispersed, heterogeneous cyber systems over the next 36 months.

Alias Robotics proudly collaborates with a consortium of fourteen organizations across Europe. This diverse alliance includes esteemed academic and research centers (TUS, JAMK, RHUL, UMU, MUNI, JR, KEMEA), forward-thinking industrial partners (SLP, GMV, MONT, F6S), and end-users (ALWA, ALIAS, and MURC). Together, we bring a wealth of expertise in theoretical and applied security research, social sciences, commercial exploitation, and a deep understanding of real industry needs.

At the heart of the ResilMesh project is the cultivation of cyber situational awareness through the dynamic Security Orchestration and Analytics Platform Architecture (SOAPA) toolset. Our collective goal is to empower organizations to navigate the intricate landscape of their digital infrastructures and services while effectively thwarting advanced persistent threats (APTs). Industrial processes and robots participating therein are a key point here, and Alias Robotics will add its expertise on investigating cyberresilence in industrial robot use cases.

The two-day kick-off meeting in Athlone was marked by enthusiasm and unwavering commitment from all consortium members. Each organization unveiled its distinctive contribution, meticulously outlining the framework that will guide its journey throughout the project. The second day witnessed engaging group discussions that set the trajectory for the upcoming three months.

Armed with crystallized goals and strategic action points, Alias Robotics and its consortium partners are gearing up for the project's subsequent phases. This includes the development of cutting-edge tools, the initiation of open calls, and the implementation of pilots designed to validate the project's outcomes. A follow-up physical meeting early next year is on the horizon, ensuring the seamless initiation of working groups and the continuous progression of the project.
